Aer Lingus: 65% of Irish adults intend to travel within the next six months

Aer Lingus stated (14-Sep-2021) according to new research from the airline, 65% of adults in Ireland are looking to travel internationally within the next six months. Of the respondents, 25-34 year olds were the most interested in travel, with 81% intending to travel. With restrictions easing across Europe, 39% of adults in Ireland said they are most looking forward to exploring some new surroundings when they travel again, with 30% looking try new cultures and cuisines. Of those planning to travel soon, 24% are doing so just for a new experience. According to the Aer Lingus research, of those 65% intending to fly abroad in the next six months, 17% will visit a Christmas Market and 31% will enjoy a city break. However, 47% of respondents will be reuniting with family and friends and 11% say they will travel to celebrate a missed milestone they couldn't meaningfully mark during the pandemic.
