Aerialoop and Rappi sign partnership for drone delivery trial in Quito

Aerialoop, via its official LinkedIn account, announced (15-Oct-2020) a partnership with Rappi to carry out a three to six month pilot of drone delivery services in Quito. The pilot will evaluate scalability, focusing on delivering food and retail items from Quito's CBD to Puembo, a highly populated suburb which is 50 minutes away by traditional methods of delivery. Drone delivery will take five minutes. Rappi is responsible for the first and last mile stage of transportation, while Aerialoop transports the goods from the CBD to Puembo.
