Air Canada announced (02-Oct-2020) the following eUpgrade improvements, ahead of the planned Aeroplan programme relaunch on 08-Nov-2020:
- Simplified eUpgrade request process, whereby members or travel agents may request upgrades when they book, or prior to check in, effective 06-Oct-2020. Consequently, members will clear automatically within their upgrade clearance window when seats become available;
- Simplified eUpgrade requirements, whereby all fare options will become eligible for eUpgrades (excluding Economy Basic fares), effective 02-Oct-2020.
- eUpgrades for companions, whereby upgrade requests for companions travelling in the same reservation will clear with the priority of the member's Altitude status, effective 08-Nov-2020. [more - original PR]
