Air Georgia LCC start up being discussed with government and investors

    HUB Georgia founder Giorgi Kodua said discussions with Georgia‘s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development on the launch of Air Georgia LCC are 80% complete (bizzone.info, 23-Sep-2020). Mr Kodua said potential investors were approached on the subject of financing the USD50 million project. Mr Kodua said the carrier would be based at Kutaisi Airport and handle 100,000 passengers p/a. Passengers could increase to 500,000 in the carrier’s second year of operations. The network could include services to GermanyGreeceItaly and Ukraine. Operations are expected to commence with a two aircraft fleet, with another two aircraft to be added to the fleet later.
