Air New Zealand adds additional international cargo services under MIAC scheme

Air New Zealand announced (27-May-2021) it has been awarded more international cargo operations under the New Zealand Government’s Maintaining International Air Connectivity (MIAC) scheme. With the scheme extended through to Oct-2021, the airline will operate approximately 30 weekly frequencies to 13 destinations including Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Shanghai, as well as maintaining air connectivity with key Pacific ports. With the trans-Tasman and Cook Islands bubbles under way, these services are currently operating outside of the MIAC scheme.
