Air New Zealand commenced (04-Feb-2021) Christchurch-Guangzhou cargo service on 03-Feb-2021, marking its first cargo operation to Guangzhou. The airline will initially operate three nonstop return services to support the export and import of premium goods over the peak Chinese New Year period. From the week of 08-Feb-2021, the carrier will operate twice weekly via Auckland with Boeing 787-9 equipment. The airline expects to transport premium export goods from New Zealand to Guangzhou, including seafood and milk powder, and handle PPE, electronics and general cargo from Guangzhou to New Zealand.
