Air New Zealand stated it adjusted credit and debit card fees "to make sure fees collected from customers accurately reflect the cost to process card payments" (stuff.co.nz, 17-Feb-2020). The airline increased card fees for international airfares by 30% and reduced domestic fees for one way airfares from NZD4 (USD2.58) to NZD2.80 (USD1.80) per passenger.
