Air New Zealand to handle more than 900 unaccompanied minors for summer 2018/2019

25 November, 2018

Air New Zealand reported (22-Nov-2018) it will handle nearly 9000 unaccompanied minors across its domestic and international network between Dec-2018 and Mar-2019, with more bookings expected. The carrier provides its 'Airband' service for all unaccompanied minors travelling, including a wristband embedded with a chip which is scanned at key stages of the journey to trigger text notifications giving parents and guardians the opportunity to follow the minor's travel.
