Air New Zealand to hire additional cabin crew

Air New Zealand GM cabin crew Leeanne Langridge said the carrier plans to hire 115 long haul flight crew to address "a temporary shortfall of crew for long haul operations" due to amendments to its US rerouting and "further border measures" (Stuff, 08-Jan-2021). Ms Langridge said the carrier received more than 400 applications and contacted redundant cabin crew to fill the roles. Ms Langridge added: "We continue to engage with both unions representing crew, and we are recalling crew based on their skills, knowledge and experience".
