Air Niugini to increase Port Moresby-Hong Kong frequency in Apr-2021

17 February, 2021

Air Niugini announced (16-Feb-2021) plans to increase Port Moresby-Hong Kong frequency from weekly to twice weekly, effective 03-Apr-2021. The airline operates the service with Boeing 767 equipment, for essential travellers and freight. Air Niugini codeshares with Cathay Pacific and also offers connections through partnerships with Air France, Emirates and Qatar Airways. Air Niugini CEO Bruce Alabaster noted Singapore and Manila are "still effectively closed for transfer/transit passengers", so the airline expects transfers via Hong Kong "will prove to be a winner with our customers". Air Niugini resumed Hong Kong service in Oct-2020. [more - original PR]
