Air Tahiti Nui, via its official website, stated (May-2021) Tahiti will reopen its borders to the US from 01-May-2021, and will be the "first international point of origin to reopen". Paris and the EU are to remain closed. Subject to US and EU directions, the carrier plans to resume Los Angeles-Paris service from 02-Jun-2021. The carrier's Auckland and Tokyo services from Papeete remain suspended until 29-Oct-2021.
