AirAsia 'must make sure price is right' before confirming A330neo orders: Group CEO

AirAsia Group CEO and AirAsia X Group co-CEO Tony Fernandes, via his official Twitter account, confirmed (03-Jul-2018) the company ordered 66 A330neo aircraft, but added: "to finally confirm it we must make sure price is right". Mr Fernandes also stated: "Really we need more [than 66]". He noted the aircraft's 251 tonne maximum take off weight enables it to serve London. AirAsia X Group has 66 A330-900neo aircraft on order, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
