airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss said the carrier will move to "rapid growth" once it can "fly full" again (LETA/lsm.lv/DELFI, 03-Sep-2020). Mr Gauss added: "I will stress that airBaltic will exit this crisis very strong because of the actions that we implemented at the outset". He attributed the loss incurred in 1H2020 to the 62 day suspension of operations due to the coronavirus pandemic and continuing expenses. Mr Gauss expects losses to be "even higher" in 2020 due to decreasing frequencies resulting from travel restrictions.
