20 August, 2020

airBaltic signed (20-Aug-2020) an agreement on a revised A220-300 delivery schedule for the remaining 28 aircraft on order. The firm order for 50 A220-300s is to be completed by early 2024. The carrier plans to receive three additional A220-300s by the end of 2020. airBaltic also holds options for an additional 30 aircraft. CEO Martin Gauss said: "The recent crisis enabled us to push forward our decision to introduce an Airbus A220-300 single type fleet. It allows us to minimise complexity and benefit from the additional efficiency provided by the aircraft". airBaltic plans to continue growth and add more capacity in accordance with the Destination 2025 CLEAN business plan.
