airBaltic announced (07-Apr-2021) it will become the world's first airline to issue non-fungible tokens (NFT). Limited edition collector NFTs showcasing an individual A220-300 will be issued and NFTs will be used for digital art pieces of Latvian cities as part of a tourism campaign. airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss said he expects NFTs to be used to purchase airline tickets in the future.
