Airbus ExO Alpha CEO Sandra Bour Schaeffer reported the manufacturer could develop an all electric regional airliner capable of seating 100 passengers by the early 2030s (Bloomberg, 16-Nov-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, Airbus is already participating in the development of hybrid electric and all electric small aircraft and has already unveiled a theoretical concept for a hybrid-electric, turbo-propeller aircraft for regional air transport.
