ALTA: Mexico City third terminal welcome, but won't solve saturation problem

10 June, 2019

Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) director Luis Felipe de Oliveira warned that adding a third terminal at Mexico City International Airport will be insufficient to resolve capacity issues, due to the lack of runway capacity and issues with connections between passenger terminals (aerolatinnews.com, 07-Jun-2019). Mr de Oliveira said the new terminal will be a "positive" but it "won't solve the problem" of capacity saturation at the airport.
