In this week’s exclusive Blue Swan Daily Infographic, we take a closer look at the growing aviation market by focussing on global capacity. In Sep-2018, the US airlines still dominate monthly capacity with American Airlines (20.3m), Delta Air Lines (18.5m), Southwest Airlines (16.1m) & United Airlines (15.1m) taking out the top 4 positions, the only non-American airline in the top 5 was Ryanair ending the month with 12.5m seats. Eurowings had the most growth globally with a massive 73.4% increase. Only the LCC alliances – Value & U-Fly increased capacity, all other alliances saw a decrease. In the Americas the top 4 does not change, but LATAM joins 5th place followed by Air Canada.
