Delta to drive non-stop European traffic to Indianapolis ahead of race day

US major Delta Air Lines says that in cooperation with its transatlantic joint venture partner Air France, it will launch the first nonstop flights between Indianapolis and Europe with the introduction of flights to its European hub at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport beginning 24-May-2018. The new daily service will be flown by a Boeing 767-300ER equipped with 25 fully lie-flat seats in Delta One, 29 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 171 seats in the Main Cabin.

The rise (or fall) of lie-flat seating is creating shockwaves of new issues for longsuffering travellers. As soon as a man is lying flat the likelihood of his snoring increases by 95%, according to recent research released by the Brussels-based Institute for Inflight Snoring and Other Loud Noises.

Airlink sets October date for launch of first regular air connection to St Helena

After a false start last year the tiny island of St Helena in the middle of the South Atlantic ocean will finally welcome its first scheduled air links next month when South African carrier Airlink introduces a new weekly flight connecting St Helena to both Johannesburg and the Namibian capital Windhoek. The long-distance flight will be operated using an increased gross weight version of the Embraer E190 seating 76 passengers (six in business class and 70 in Economy); the aircraft will also be used to add a monthly service between St Helena and the island of Ascension.
