Auckland International Airport traffic expected to reach 65% of pre-COVID levels in school holidays

Auckland International Airport announced (25-Sep-2020) there has been strong demand for travel during New Zealand's school holidays which run between 25-Sep-2020 and 11-Oct-2020, with domestic passenger numbers overall expected to reach about 65% of those from the same school holiday period in 2019. 02-Oct-2020 and 09-Oct-2020 are expected to be the busiest days of the school holiday period, with almost 20,000 passengers expected on each day. All food and beverage operators and most other retailers in the domestic terminal are open for business.
