Australian domestic air fare index at its highest level since Dec-2012

Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics released its Domestic Air Fare Index for Dec-2017 which showed the 'Best Discount Fare' Index is at its highest level since Dec-2012, which was 94.4. It is also at its highest 13-month average since Dec-2011, which was 74.5. Restricted economy jumped 18 points compared to Nov-2017 but was down 3.9 points from Dec-2011. Business class remains relatively flat.
