Australian domestic aviation activity for Nov-2017 increases 3.3% year-on-year

Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics released its domestic aviation activity report for Nov-2017 highlighting an increase of 3.3% year-on-year, equalling 5.44 million passengers.

According to BITRE, available seat kilometres (ASKs), decreased by 0.8% year-on-year to a total of 7.31 billion. The industry wide load factor (RPKs/ASKs) increased from 79.3% in Nov-2017 to 82.0% in Nov-2017.

For the month of Nov-2017, Melbourne-Sydney remained Australia's busiest route with 834,284 passengers, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year. It was followed by Brisbane-Sydney with 413,987 passengers (up 4.5%) and Brisbane-Melbourne with 308,588 passengers (up 2.4%).
