Australia's Prime Minister mandates face masks for all airports and domestic travel

Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated (08-Jan-2021) the National Cabinet "agreed that for domestic travel, mask wearing will be mandatory on all domestic flights for all persons in Australia, excluding children under 12 years" and passengers with accepted exemptions. Face mask wearing in all Australian domestic airports will also be mandatory. Mr Morrison stated the measurements will be implemented "over the course of the next week and the compliance arrangements that sit around that will be put in place by the Commonwealth and the state governments".
