The airline plans to offer around 500,000 seats weekly by the end of 2021, split 50:50 between domestic and international routes (El Tiempo, 18-Mar-2021). It will expand its network to add 50 direct services between secondary destinations over the next few years (Bloomberg, 17-Mar-2021). Avianca CEO Anko van der Werff stated: “You already see the theme of leisure and beach traffic emerging”.
