Aviointeriors using COVID-19 downtime to ‘rejuvenate’ its products

    Aviointeriors CEO Paolo Drago reported its production volumes are at around 20% of pre-pandemic levels, with the company using the period of reduced output to “ameliorate, rejuvenate, get more of a sense of youth on our products” (Runway Girl Network, 18-Jan-2021). The company also plans to move its manufacturing into lean-style principles and methodologies for when production increases again, hiring in expertise for the transition.
