Azul and LATAM Airlines Brasil announced plans to terminate their codeshare agreement, effective 22-Aug-2021 (Panrotas/Investe Value/Aeroflap/Aviacion Online, 24/25-May-2021). LATAM Airlines Brasil CEO Jerome Cadier commented: "This codeshare agreement was an alternative identified by the two companies to face the drop in sales and the reduction of the air network during the height of the pandemic", adding "with the prospect of improvement, there is no more sense" in maintaining the codeshare partnership.
