Azul to resume operations at Rio de Janeiro Galeao Airport

Azul announced (26-Nov-2020) plans to resume operations at Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport effective Jan-2021. The carrier also plans to launch three new destinations in the Rio de Janeiro state (Parati, Angra dos Reis and Buzios) served by Azul Conecta with nine seat Cessna Grand Caravan. Details include:

  • Campinas-Rio de Janeiro Galeao: 13 times weekly effective 01-Jan-2021. Increases to 27 times weekly effective 01-Feb-2021;
  • Belo Horizonte-Cabo Frio: 13 times weekly effective 14-Dec-2020;
  • Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont-Cabo Frio: Three times weekly effective 14-Dec-2020;
  • Sao Paulo Congonhas-Cabo Frio: Four times weekly effective 01-Jan-2021;
  • Sao Paulo Congonhas-Angra dos Reis: Three times weekly effective 19-Dec-2020;
  • Sao Paulo Congonhas-Parati: Seven times weekly effective 17-Dec-2020;
  • Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont-Parati: Four times weekly effective 19-Dec-2020;
