Bamboo Airways aiming to raise around USD100m in IPO towards expansion plans

    Bamboo Airways reported plans to raise around USD100 million in an initial public offering (IPO) in 2020, as part of efforts to expand operations (Reuters/Bloomberg, 24/23-Sep-2019). The carrier added the fundraising will “help us to expand our fleet and increase our domestic market share to 30%, from 10% now”. As previously reported by CAPA, Bamboo outlined plans to operate 100 aircraft by 2024, and will operate 30 aircraft by 1Q2020 after receiving approval from Vietnam‘s Ministry of Transport.
