Belarus to extend visa free travel period from 2018

Belarus announced plans to introduce visa free travel for up to 10 days from 2018 and for up to 30 days during the 2019 European Games, extending the regime to all border entry points after the event, as confirmed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Main Consular Department of the Deputy Head Alexander Ganevich (TASS, 08-Dec-2017). As previously reported by CAPA, Belarus introduced visa free entry at Minsk National Airport and visa free stay for up to five days for citizens of 80 states in Feb-2017. Mr Ganevich said Belarus expects to record 80,000 visa free arrivals in 2017.
