Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves International Airport to trial facial recognition boarding software

28 May, 2021

Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves International Airport will start trials of boarding using facial recognition on 28-May-2021 (aeroin.net, 27-May-2021). The technology, developed by Brazil's government technology company Serpro, facilitates boarding without boarding passes or identification documents. The trial will feature volunteers on Azul services. Other Brazilian airports including Florianopolis Hercilio Luz, Salvador Luis E Magalhaes and Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont have already trialled the system.
