Berlin Airport Company CEO Engelbert Lütke Daldrup reported (28-Sep-2020) the recently completed Berlin Brandenburg Airport terminal 2 facility will likely not be put into operation before summer 2021 due to low demand in light of COVID-19. Mr Daldrup said the decision will help the operator save around EUR500,000 in operating costs per month, adding however that T2 can be made ready for use at short notice if passenger traffic recovers.
