Berlin SPD to prioritise subway extension to BER

Germany's Social Democratic Party (SPD) in Berlin reported plans to prioritise a subway expansion project connecting Berlin to Berlin Brandenburg Airport via the U7 line in the coming legislative period (airliners.de, 02-Feb-2021). "We will also plan the further expansion of the subway where it makes sense in terms of traffic, in order to relieve neighbourhoods of traffic and to connect as many Berliners as possible to the subway network", the SPD stated.
