    Australia‘s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reported (22-Apr-2021) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia for Feb-2021:

    • Passengers: 51,613, -98.2% year-on-year;
    • Available seats: 401,271, -90.0%;
    • Cargo: 62,507 tonnes, -24.5%;
    • Flights: 3100, -79.9%;
    • Aircraft movements: 3332, -78.8%;
    • Top 10 international carriers:
      • Share of passengers carried:
        • Singapore Airlines: 16.8%, +8.3pp;
        • Qatar Airways: 16.2%, +12.6pp;
        • Air New Zealand: 13.8%, +5.9pp;
        • Emirates Airline: 8.6%, +1.8pp;
        • China Southern Airlines: 5.8%, +5.0pp;
        • United Airlines: 4.2%, +2.8pp;
        • SriLankan Airlines: 3.6%, +3.1pp;
        • Etihad Airways: 3.0%, +0.3pp;
        • China Eastern Airlines: 2.5%, +1.6pp;
        • Air Niugini: 2.4%, +2.1pp;
      • Share of cargo carried:
        • Singapore Airlines: 13.5%, -2.5pp;
        • Qatar Airways: 9.2%, +5.2pp;
        • Emirates Airline: 8.9%, -1.0pp;
        • Qantas Airways: 8.9%, -2.3pp;

    LCCs Jetstar Airways and Scoot accounted for 1.5% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in Feb-2021. The LCC share in Jan-2020 was 16.4%.
