Brasilia Airport ranks second busiest in Brazil in 2020

Brasilia International Airport announced (25-Feb-2021) the airport ended 2020 as Brazil's second busiest airport. The airport processed eight million passengers and 80,000 movements during the year. The figure represents a 46% year-on-year reduction in passengers and 55% reduction in movements. Inframerica head of aviation business Roberto Luiz attributed the increase in the ranking to "international travel restrictions" leading to increase in "domestic travels" and Brasilia Airport's "capillarity and capacity for efficient connections".
