Brazil launched an e-visa for Japanese passport holders, following implementation of the service for Australian passport holders in Nov-2017 (Panrotas, 11-Jan-2018). The facility will be further extended to Canadian and US citizens by the end of Jan-2018. Brazil's Ministry of Tourism revealed that half of Japanese travellers to Brazil had business, congresses or events as their main motivation.
