Brisbane Airport Corporation reports FY2021 busiest/quietest days

Brisbane Airport Corporation reported (21-Jul-2021) its busiest day in FY2021 at its domestic terminal was on 14-May-2021, with 42,471 arrivals and departures. The quietest day was on 29-Aug-2020, with 5793 arrivals and departures at a time where Queensland's borders were closed to Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. While Sydney and Melbourne remained the strongest interstate routes by overall passenger numbers, they both recorded a significant year-on-year decrease, falling 65% and 71% respectively. Brisbane Airport's intrastate market suffered less than the overall domestic performance, with an 11% year-on-year decrease. The intrastate market remains 30% below the pre pandemic levels of FY2019.
