Brisbane Airport welcomes two way trans Tasman travel bubble

Brisbane Airport announced (19-Apr-2021) following the commencement of a trans-Tasman bubble on 19-Apr-2021, the airport will have 13 'Green Lane' services. Air New Zealand and Qantas will be facilitating a combined six arrivals and seven departures connecting Brisbane to Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Approximately 1800 seats are scheduled to operate each way on 19-Apr-2021, with services forecast to be around 80% full. Brisbane Airport Corporation CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff stated the airport is expecting strong visiting friends and family travel within the first few weeks, however 'High-yield travellers such as the corporate and conference sectors will not return in the same way just yet'.
