Brussels Airlines reports week to week bookings growth of up to 50%

Brussels Airlines reported (18-Jun-2021) a strong increase in incoming bookings over the past few weeks, with week to week increases of 30% to 50%. Holiday destinations in the south of Europe are performing particularly well. The airline credited the acceleration of vaccination programmes, the implementation of the EU's Digital Green Certificate and evolving travel restrictions. The booking trend has been positive for the carrier since the lifting of the travel ban for Belgians on 19-Apr-2021. In addition to an increase in individual bookings, group bookings are making a strong come back. The carrier reported 215 group bookings through its own website were made in the past two months.
