Bucharest Baneasa Airport renovation scheduled for completion by 21-Jul-2021

Bucharest Baneasa Airport's renovation will be completed by 21-Jul-2021, according to Bucharest Airports National Company spokesman Valentin Iordache (universul.net, 07-Jun-2021). Mr Iordache said the EUR11 million expansion will allow the airport to handle an estimated 400 passengers per hour and one million p/a. Prior to its official opening, the airport will commence operations to handle athletes and foreign government officials arriving for the Euro 2020 sporting event.
