CAAC: Chinese airline pax declines 6.4% in May-2021, compared to May-2019

CAAC reported (20-Jul-2021) the following traffic highlights for Chinese airlines for May-2021:

• Passengers: 51.0 million, -6.4% compared to May-2019;
  • Domestic: 50.9 million, +5.0%;
    • Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: 81,000, -92.4%;
  • International: 130,000, -97.8%;
• Passenger load factor: 79.2%, -3.1pp;
• Cargo: 664,000 tonnes, +6.4%;
  • Domestic: 427,000 tonnes, +2.6%;
    • Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: 17,000 tonnes, -15.0%;
