2 September, 2021

Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) revoked (02-Sep-2021) the safety directive prohibiting the operation of Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 aircraft in Malaysian airspace. The decision followed a review of US FAA publications on the 737 MAX return to service, as well as a safety risk assessment. The aircraft have been banned from Malaysian airspace since the original directive was issued on 13-Mar-2019. [more - original PR]
