Cape Verde's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities Luís Filipe Tavares said the Government plans to implement visa waiver programmes for citizens of Canada, the US and European countries outside the Schengen area (macauhub, 26-Jan-2018). He said implementation of visa waivers for EU and UK citizens was postponed from Jan-2018 to May-2018 due to "technical concerns". Mr Tavares said the programmes are designed to support investment and employment.
