Christchurch Airport 'committed to genuine climate action': Sustainability transition leader

Christchurch International Airport sustainability transition leader Claire Waghorn stated: "We are committed to genuine climate action, so have set absolute emissions reduction targets, not relative targets", adding: "Relative targets are problematic" (International Airport Review, 05-Feb-2021). Ms Waghorn said the airport's "emissions targets relate to our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, which are those within our immediate control", as well as has a 'Stakeholder Partnership Plan' for Scope 3 emission influence.
