Copenhagen Airport looking to draw long haul transit pax away from European hubs: CEO

15 August, 2019

Copenhagen Airports A/S CEO Thomas Woldbye said the company aims to attract "even more long haul routes" to draw passengers from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland and the Baltic countries to transit at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH) rather than via Amsterdam, London, Munich or Frankfurt (Routes Online, 15-Aug-2019). "We have managed to achieve a hub in CPH that suits both short haul and long haul passenger segments within low cost, hybrid carriers and full service carriers", he continued. Mr Woldbye added there is a list of unserved long haul routes with the "highest potential" as well as attempts to improve frequencies to "underserved destinations with current and new airline partners".
