Canberra Airport releases preliminary draft of its 2020 Master Plan

Canberra Airport released (22-Aug-2019) a preliminary draft of 2020 Master Plan, focusing on bringing more inbound passengers into Canberra and more aircraft across a wider range of airlines. The latest draft also outlines plans for the Canberra Airport team to attract further international and low cost carriers over the next five to eight years. Canberra Airport head of aviation Michael Thomson commented: "The airport currently serves more than three million passengers a year, but those numbers are forecast to rise to more than nine million by 2040 if all goes to plan... We continue to collaborate with the ACT and NSW Governments, who support our plans for growing our aviation business, and we are optimistic about future growth.
