Collins Aerospace launches new cabin monument to offer more service possibilities

1 April, 2019

Collins Aerospace announced (01-Apr-2019) plans to launch the 'M-Flex Duet' cabin monument at the 02-Apr-2019 to 04-Apr-2019 Aircraft Interiors Expo. The monument transforms aircraft doorways into a "flexible premium service area", such as a self serve social zone, cabin attendant working area or extended galley space. Collins Aerospace reported the concept allows carriers to add a service area with "minimal to no" reduction in seats. During taxi, take off and landing, the compact monuments are stowed and meet all regulatory egress requirements. During flight, the units unfold to stretch across the doorway providing a "stand up, branded and self serve social area" as well as additional crew working space. M-Flex Duet monuments fit within standard monument footprints, allowing it to be installed as a line fit and retrofit solution. M-Flex Duet will launch in 2019. [more - original PR]
