Construction works at Honolulu International Airport to be altered following Island Air bankruptcy

28 December, 2017

Hawaii Department of Transportation stated it will scale back expansion works at Honolulu Daniel K Inouye International Airport following Island Air's bankruptcy (The Honolulu Star Advertiser, 24-Dec-2017). Previous plans called for the construction of a USD40 million to USD45 million under Gate 6, with the project to now leave the 24,000sqft space as an unfinished shell, which will reduce the cost of construction by "several million dollars".
