Dara Sakor International Airport to be operational by end of 2021

7 June, 2021

Cambodia's State Secretariat of Civil Aviation confirmed construction of Dara Sakor International Airport is complete and the airport is expected to be operational by the end of 2021 (Khmer Times, 03-Jun-2021). The airport will be Cambodia's fourth international airport, after Phnom Penh International Airport, Siem Reap Airport and Sihanoukville Airport. As previously reported by CAPA, the airport is being developed by Tianjin Union Development Group (UDG) and is designed to handle Boeing 777, A340 and equivalent sized aircraft. UDG was awarded a 99 year concession to develop and operate the airport in 2008, with phase one to require around USD200 million and including construction of a 187 hectare airfield. The airport's runway will be 3200m long and 45m wide.
