DATA SPOTLIGHT: Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport

11 March, 2020

This year The Blue Swan Daily will feature some of the leading airlines, airports and country markets for air travel. Here, using the extensive profile insights available to CAPA - Centre for Aviation members, we deliver a data snapshot on Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport, which has been recognised as offering the best arrivals experience for customers, not just in India, nor Asia, but across the whole world.

The Indian airport has picked up the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Best Airport Arrivals Award for 2019. The awards recognise the airports around the world that deliver the best customer experience in the opinion of their own passengers.

While we tend to focus on the departure segment for airport quality due to the longer time and more facets of the customer experience, an airport arrival experience is equally as important, as both affect the overall passenger experience. This year actually marks the first time that an Arrivals Award has been presented as part of Airports Council International's (ACI) airport service quality passenger service and benchmarking programme.
