Unlike most other destinations currently this growth has been driven by international services due to the Balearic island's popularity as a leisure destination, particularly from Germany and the United Kingdom which account for more two thirds of current seat capacity.
However, with rising Covid-19 infections pushing some nations to introduce regional restrictions for travel to the Spanish mainland and wider countrywide policies that also incorporate the Balearic and Canary islands it is unclear how future capacity will be impacted.
